well, this is a good book.
I noticed...I think it was the beginning of chapter 5 or 6 when King Xerxes couldn't sleep at night and had the records brought to him and read and then he realized that mordecai had not been properly thanked for saving king xerxes' life. and all of a sudden it struck me that that was God keeping the king awake and nudging him to have the records read to him.ย just an interesting thought
and also, while I was reading I was thinking "What if Esther had said no?"
what if she had been too scared? what if she had been too selfish?
and what if Queen Vashti had said no to her morals? what if she had paraded around for the king and his buddies? Esther would never have been queened and who knows what would have happened to the jews?
my youth pastor once said to us to think about God asking us to do something for Him and..."what if we said no?"
would the the eternal life of somebody or bodies be non-existant? would the future be totally different if I said no?
if I said...
I'm too tired..or ...
they wouldn't listen to me anyway..or...
they'll laugh at me. think of the consequences
What if we said no?
