I¨m at an internet cafe in san juan with my girls emily and chelsea...oops i mean "Emilia" and "Isabel." they changed their names to make it easier to pronounce. my name has changed to leah...as if I were hebrew and. so, this one guy I met made fun of me adn said I was like ¨lea y escriba¨which means read and write. duh. I´d like to stick with my name as Lia, but they can´t seem to understand it. the mexicans get it just fine. weird
we spent the last 3 days, as soon as we arrived in the DR up in a mountain village on a mini mission trip. it was hard, and awkward, but we saw fruit when we really worked together as a team. a boy around our age responded to the invitation and accepted Christ as his savior friday night at our outreach thing. Be praying for Elias.
last night we had some conflict in our team that hasn´t really been resolved, but I¨m praying for opportunities today. I know God is using it to build us up more.
I super miss my family and my sister and my ...boyfriend (I´d do a smily face but I can´t figure out these keyboards.)
I fly home on oct 12 for annas wedding and return on the 16th. so I´ll be stocking up on american chocolate while i´m home.
Im not sure how much more time i have on this, I think I bought 15 mins or 30 mins...I understand mexican spanish so much better.
k, so, send me lots of love and really be in like constant prayer. my eyes have been opened more to spritual warfare, but...as it says in 1 kings, those who are with us are greater than those who are with them. and the devil´s only weapon is words. Fear is not of God, so there is no reason to be afraid. so praise God for taking care of us. and maybe I´ll see some of you in october.
live it up
