So we finished reading the book The Heavenly Man.  It´s about the Chinese house churches and the persecution they´re under from the government. The author, Brother Yun, is basically amazing and I think everyone should read it. So, he talks about how difficult it was to get a bible so when he finally got it he memorized as much of it as he could. He said he memorized the book of Matthew, 28 chapters, in 28 days. and as he was undergoing all this persecution and hardship and stuff, he was able to recall bits and pieces of the scripture that he had memorized and it encouraged him and lifted him up in his hard times. So, I haven´t memorized a verse in forever, and I felt called to startmemorizing again. I didn´t want to try to do a chapter a day, but I bet I could do a chapter a week. So I picked out Hebrews 12, I¨m not sure why that one, but I memorized it in 4 days. Then I memorized psalm 8 in about a day. and now I´m working on Ephesians 6. I think next week I´d like to do Hebrews 11.

I´d love for you all to pray for me in that. So, it´s really just about a month left until we come home for christmas. I´m really excited to see everyone.

Keep praying that God will break my heart here for the broken. That I won´t try and harden my heart against their pain. If I´m to do God´s work I  need to love people like he loves them. Beyond their faults and really getting into their pain.

Yesterday we did an outreach in the parqueo, a little area in the place where we do our cell group on thursday nights and I was worried it wouldn´t go well cause it was mostly just kdis there, but it was ok. we did games and songs with the kids and then sat them down near where some teenagers were hanging out and then did our dramas and message right in front of the teenagers and kids and a few parents that were there. It´s hard to hold so many people´s attentions, but the teenagers really seemed to listen to angelo as he prached the gospel. then afterward we played baseball with them and the kids and yeah, it was cool. I could see God working in the teens´hearts and making them ask qustions and stuff.

oh and on friday we went to the haitian market and it was cool. I got some pants for really cheap and a pair of cool shoes. and a present for my sister for christmas....yay!

If you think about it, please pray for my boyfriend. I know God wants to work in him and really make him His. Pray that miguel will surrender himself to God and let Him work in his heart.
