these are mah girls! Emily, me, and Chelsea.

mailed in my paperwork yesterday. bought my ticket to camp and everything.

spent the better part of last night and early this morning trying to help my boyfriend get his car out of a ditch. smooth one, miguel. but, I'm glad he didn't hit the deer, and everything could have been worse. I knew God knew where we were this morning, and I know he was working a way to get it out, but by 4:30 am, 2.5 hours after he'd woken me up from my warm and snuggly bed, I was getting really impatient with God. I was like, why aren't you helping us right now? I KNOW you can do this, there have been plenty of opportunities to be powerful and stuff. We went and got one of miguel's friends to use his truck to pull the car out. (Just the front wheels of the car were hanging over the edge, but it was tricky to get it out.) so we gave up for the night and miguel and the guy he was with went to sleep at their friend's house and I went back to bed promising I would find a neighbor to get it out in the morning. Well, my neighbor's not home, my other neighbors don't pick up, our friends don't have their truck at the moment, so I'm angry and almost threatening God "I trust in you, but you're really leaving it to the last minute." cause I had to be at work in an hour, and miguel had to work a little after me. Well, I've been reading a book "When God winks at you" about little coincidences in life that could only be from God. So, it didn't just
happen that I would drive by the assistent superintendant of my school, who is also a good friend of mine, as she was driving home, which just happens to be right in front of where miguel's car was stuck, and she doesn't just
happen to live next to nice farmers with powerful tractors that can pull cars out of ditches. and it didn't just
happen that Joe, the farmer neighbor, came out of the house right when we walked up to it and it didn't just
happen that he had nothing better to do that help some girl he doesn't know get her boyfriend's car out of a ditch. and then it didn't just
happen that a nice guy would pull up in a pick up truck and help the elderly farmer hitch up the car and you know what, that's what I like to call "godwinks," as the author of the book calls them. and this way, four people got to play a role in helping out others, instead of just one in the middle of the night.

so, I say, thank you God, for taking care of miguel and his friend, and for using all these people in your plans. and I'm sorry I was impatient with you. I need to work on that
